Board of Trustees

Fund operations are directed by the Board of Trustees, elected by the general membership of the Fund. The Trustees meet 4-5 times a year and are responsible for management and oversight of the Fund. They review financial performance, underwriting performance, and authorize all claim settlements.

Kevin Downey, Chairman, Bloomfield Hills

Mr. Downey represents Kramer Restaurant Group and has been a member of the Fund since 1992. He joined the board and has served as Chairman since the formation of the Fund.

Dennis Brinker, Trustee, Birmingham

Mr. Brinker represents Sign of the Beefcarver. He has been a member of the Fund since 2001 and has served on the Board of Trustees since 1998.

Tom Doyle, Trustee, Grand Rapids

Mr. Doyle represents Brann's Distinctive Catering. He has been a member of the Fund and Board of Trustees since 1998.

Justin Winslow, Trustee, Lansing

Mr. Winslow serves as the Michigan Restaurant Association representative, a sponsoring organization of the Fund. The Association has been a member of the board since its formation in 1992.

Jerry Heck, Trustee, Flint

Mr. Heck has been served on the Board of Trustees since its formation in 1992.

Jeff Lobdell, Trustee, Grand Rapids

Mr. Lobdell represents several restaurants in the Grand Rapids and West Michigan area including the Beltline Bar & Restaurant, Bagel Beanery, Sundance Grill and The Omelette Shoppe . He has been a member of the Fund since 2001 and a trustee since 2002.

Bill Roberts, Trustee, Birmingham

Mr. Roberts represents Roberts Restaurant Group. He has been a member of the Fund since 1993 and has served on the Board of Trustees since 1995.

Bill Wentworth, Trustee, Flint

Mr. Wentworth represents Applebee's Neighborhood Bar & Grill. He has been a member of the Fund since 2001 and a trustee since 2004.
